The Fair Play Experience

The Fair Play Experience

'Fair play is an essential part of sport' says Dr Alois Hechenberger, professor of sports games at the University of Innsbruck and developer of various team building activities.

According to Mr Hechenberger who conducted interactive workshops at the 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck within the framework of the Fair Play Programme it is a great idea to educate the young athletes and organise the Culture and Education Programme besides the competitions. The spirit of the Olympics also means making friendships, having fun and being together.

The earlier we start to educate the young generations, the better their personality can be shaped. Moreover, young people like collecting first-hand experience and being involved in interactive activities which provide them with the opportunity to demonstrate team work, friendship, respect and fair play in a playful way. Great memories will last forever and they will remember that fair play is more than victory.
